Developing a Negotiating Position

In addition to its engagement in past Sudanese peace processes and the current Sudanese context, PILPG has 30 years of experience training civilians, civil society, and other parties on the skills needed to most effectively represent their delegation’s interests in an international peace negotiation. The resources on this page are meant to provide background on the opportunities for civil engagement in peace talks in Sudan, as well as on the process of forming and developing the negotiating skills of a civilian delegation. This section includes the introduction and appendix chapters of the Lawyering Peace book, which provide an overview of peace negotiations, and information on many peace agreements and the conflicts that led to them.
